Mapping Givelify Donors to Members (Step-by-Step)

3. For each donor, click the Map (or Edit for previously mapped donors) button to open the mapping dialog.
4. Select the matching church member from the dropdown list.
5. Click Save Mapping to link the Givelify donor name to your church member.
6. Once mapped, future imports will automatically associate that Givelify donor's gifts with the correct church member.
7. Mapped donors show a green checkmark; unmapped donors show a yellow warning icon.
Common Issues & Solutions
CSV upload fails or shows 0 records
Verify you exported the correct file from Givelify. The CSV must contain donation data columns (donor name, amount, date, etc.). If the file is empty or uses a different format, the import will show 0 records.
QR code not appearing
Make sure your Givelify Account ID is saved in Church Settings. Go to Settings, enter the Account ID, and save. Return to the Giving page — the QR code section will appear.
Donor names don't match members
Givelify donors may use different name formats (nicknames, maiden names). Use the Donor Mapping feature to manually link each Givelify name to the correct church member. This only needs to be done once per donor.
Duplicate donations after re-importing
Each import creates a separate batch. If you accidentally import the same CSV twice, you can delete the duplicate import from the Import History table using the delete button. This will remove all donations from that batch.
Donations not showing in reports
Imported Givelify donations appear in the Donations section and in reports. Make sure the date range in your report includes the dates of the imported donations. Also verify the donor is mapped to a member if you're filtering by member.
